As a student conference, the RSC is a friendly place to present and is an ideal venue for giving your first talk or poster. As a result, we do encourage all attendees to contribute - everyone who submits an abstract will have the opportunity to present a talk or poster.
Prizes will be awarded for the three best talks and the best poster, as voted for by the RSC delegates. The winners will receive free registration to the RSS Annual Conference and an opportunity to present their winning work. The RSS 2018 Conference is to be held on the 3-6th September 2018 in Cardiff, Wales. Please be aware that you may be required to be free to travel for these dates.
Students are encouraged to give a talk about their research. The talk does not need to be complicated since this is a friendly student conference and participants should keep their talk comprehensible and try to avoid pages of equations.
The poster session will be on Thursday 26th July.
Delegates are given the opportunity to chair a session, presenting the speakers and leading the Q&A session afterwards.
Further information on giving a talk, poster or chairing a session is provided here.
The RSC is an annual conference that is organised by students, for students, and open to PhD students or equivalent in any field relating to probability or statistics. The next conference will take place 24-27th July 2018 at the University of Sheffield.
